Ubisoft Answers Gamers’ Concerns About Jabba’s Missions in Star Wars Outlaws

The Star Wars Outlaws release date is a few months away but we can now know exactly how much money we will have to pay and what editions we have available to us. The first open-world Star Wars game is coming to us on August 30. Until then many gamers have been talking about the pricing and season pass of Star Wars Outlaws and most are less than happy about what Ubisoft is asking for.

The Standard Edition for Star Wars Outlaws is going to cost us $69.99, and if we want access to the season pass, we will have to buy the Gold Edition for $109.99. While the drama surrounding Outlaws does not end with the pricing and the editions, Ubisoft has responded to this controversy in particular.

Ubisoft’s Response to Jabba’s Missions Controversy

One of the biggest problems for gamers is that when Ubisoft launches their game, there will be content that is complete and ready to go but will be locked behind a paywall. The Jabba’s Gambit mission will only be accessible to those who have bought the Gold Edition or Ultimate Edition which is $129.99.

Considering Jabba is a fan favorite, many gamers worry that Ubisoft was hiding one of their best characters behind another payment. Ubisoft responded by sending a statement to Eurogamer saying:

To clarify, Jabba the Hutt and the Hutt Cartel are one of the main syndicates in Star Wars Outlaws and will be part of the experience for everyone who purchases the game, regardless of edition.

All players of Star Wars Outlaws will deal with Jabba the Hutt and the Hutt Cartel and will do so for multiple missions throughout their playthrough. If you choose to pay $40 more and buy the Gold Edition, you will have some cosmetics and the season pass which on the day of launch will give you one single mission extra. 

The 'Jabba's Gambit' mission is an optional, additional mission with the Hutt Cartel along Kay and Nix's journey across the Outer Rim. This mission will be available to those who purchase the season pass or an edition of the game which includes the season pass.

We will have to wait and see what gamers think of this news. Of course, you will have access to the two upcoming DLCs but, on day one, the Gold and Ultimate Editions of Star Wars Outlaws will have the same content as everyone else and one bonus mission.
