It's been only a day since the release of World of Warcraft Season of Discovery's second phase, and players have already experienced the true chaos of leveling and PvPing in Stranglethorn Vale. Not only was this destined to happen with the level cap increasing to 40, but Blizzard even encourages it through the new Blood Moon PvP event. This is a limited-time event which becomes active every few hours and it allows you to earn rewards for defeating other players.

However, this has quickly gone out of hand, as players have started to camp around the different graveyard areas, giving themselves an advantage while farming for the new currency. Blizzard has decided to step in and add some changes that will dissuade players from doing this. Here is everything you need to know!

WoW Season of Discovery Phase 2 Blood Moon Event Hotfix

In a recent blue post, Blizzard has stated that they have already applied some hotfixes to the Blood Moon PvP event in Stranglethorn Vale. A new 'Bloodless' buff has been added, which will be applied to characters that have recently resurrected. Characters with this buff will be worth nothing to players who defeat them, which aims to stop the graveyard camping problem that was happening during the event. This buff will last for one minute, and they also clarified that you are able to resurrect at any spirit healer for no cost and no penalties.

Another hotfix is planned for the near future, which will turn the 'Bloodless' buff into a debuff, allowing players to easily see if their enemy is affected by this status. A release date for this change has not been provided as of this moment. Here is the full quote from the blue post:

Here are some answers.

The new Bloodless buff you get after rezzing does not prevent you from gaining stacks. It prevents you from giving hostile enemies stacks for 1 minute.

We’re working on another hotfix that will change Bloodless from a buff to a debuff, so you can see it on a hostile target and know that you won’t gain anything from them.

You aren’t forced to run back to your corpse to rez. You can rez instantly and for free at any spirit healer, and there are also chained spirits all over the zone. So you can die, then corpse run to another chain spirit and rez for free, with no rez sickness.

That is everything you need to know about the changes coming to the Blood Moon PvP event in World of Warcraft Season of Discovery. Hopefully, these changes create a more fun and fair PvP environment for players who want to duke it out in Stranglethorn Vale.
