Wuthering Waves: Alloy Smelt Event Guide

Alloy Smelt is one of the events to appear in Wuthering Waves 1.0 where you’ll need to defeat waves of enemies to increase your score and get rewards. The harder the zone, the better the rewards you’ll receive. In this guide, we’ll go over how to get started with the Alloy Smelt event.

How to Unlock Alloy Smelt Event

In order to unlock the Alloy Smelt event in Wuthering Waves, you’ll need to accept and complete the quest “Alloy Smelt." You can find it near the Resonance Nexus in Tiger’s Maw Mine. Once you talk to Shilang, he’ll give you the task of finding and investigating a rift.

The rift is located at the lower level of Tiger's Maw Mine, within a shaft located underneath Shilang. After entering it, you may choose to proceed with the rift challenges or exit immediately to progress the quest.

How to Play Alloy Smelt Event

Every rift includes stage benefits that will help you kill enemies more efficiently, so construct your team to match the rift's upgrade effect.

To complete the rifts in Alloy Smelt, you must gain at least 2,000 points in the two minutes that you are given. Keep in mind that when calculating overall points for the event, it will take your highest score from all rifts and add them together.

Killing Standard foes earns you 50 points for every enemy of that class defeated, whereas Elite foes earn you 100 points per foe of that class eliminated.

You can opt to increase the challenge of the rifts to get increased point modifiers, but keep in mind that the suggested character level increases in increments of ten for each difficulty, and trial Resonators are only available at Character Level 60.

Other rifts will become available after a few days, offering the same difficulties as the previous rifts with varied rift buffs. Rifts 4 through 6 will be available on June 8, while rifts 7 through 10 will unlock on June 10.

Alloy Smelt Rifts

Rift 1: Breath Rift

The trial characters that are currently available for this rift are already a strong lineup, but you can swap out Yangyang for Mortefi or use Jianxin as a sub-DPS and utilize the stage effects by using Jiyan as your primary DPS and Verina as support.

These are the effects of the Breath Rift:

・Concerto Energy of Aero and Spectro Resonators is automatically restored.
・When Aero Resonators release Concerto Energy, a Whirlwind will be summoned.
・When Spectro Resonators release Concerto Skill, AOE Spectro DMG will be dealt, and the enemies will be marked within a certain range. An explosion will be triggered when the marked enemies take damage, dealing additional damage.

Rift 2: Freezing Rift

You can create your team with all of the trial characters offered as an all-DPS squad, but we also recommend including Baizhi, or Verina if you have her, to enhance your DPS's attacks with support skills. Another good team to try out here would be the Havoc Rover team.

These are the effects of the Freezing Rift:

・Concerto Energy of Glacio and Havoc Resonators is automatically restored.
・When Glacio Resonators release Concerto Skill, AOE Freezing will be caused and the enemies will be marked within a certain range. When the marked enemies take damage, deals additional Glacio DMG.
・When Havoc Resonators release Concerto Skill, explosions will be triggered 6 times around them, dealing Havoc DMG.

Rift 3: Scorching Rift

Building your team with trial characters for this rift is a fine idea, but always keep Yinlin in, because she provides outstanding AOE damage and enhances Electro DMG with her outro ability, which will be very useful if you have Calcharo as your main DPS instead of Encore.

You can replace Chixia with a supporting character such as Baizhi or Verina; if you want a better sub-DPS than Chixia, add Mortefi to the team.

These are the effects of the Scorching Rift:

・Concerto Energy of Fusion and Electro Resonators is automatically restored.
・When Fusion Resonators release Concerto Skill, a Lava Pillar will be generated at the enemy's location, dealing Fusion DMG.
・When Electro Resonators release Concerto Skill, 3 streaks of lightning will be summoned around them, dealing Electro DMG.

These are all the currently available rifts, but for future reference, keep in mind to always build your team around the recommended elements in order to trigger rift upgrade effects and rack up points faster.
