Encore is a character from the Fusion element who uses Rectifiers. She is a great DPS unit whose damage comes mainly from her basic attacks after she has used her ultimate to enter her enhanced state.
Similar to Calcharo, Encore suffers from having to rely a lot on her Ultimate to deal damage, and currently, there aren’t great units that you can use with her to get the most out of her kit.
Her uniqueness comes from the fact that she can be played as a ranged or melee character, but the drawback is that her melee form is tied to her ultimate, and in her ranged form, you aren’t able to parry bosses. This makes it annoying when you are trying to fight stronger opponents and might put off some people from this character.
However, if you can master switching between her ranged and melee forms while also making the best use of her ultimate, then Encore will certainly prove a unit worth building.

Summary
Encore is a really strong DPS character that can shine when used properly. Although she has some drawbacks that hold her back, such as the lack of a great support unit that can draw out the best of her kit and the need to time your damage in a specific time window, she more than makes up for that with her ridiculous damage.
She is currently one of the best DPS units in the game, and if you have managed to get a Sanhua or two, you’ll be able to greatly increase her damage.
