Zenless Zone Zero: Official Release Date Announced - When Can You Play

Zenless Zone Zero’s official release date was just announced by HoYoverse today, and it is sooner than any of us could’ve anticipated.

The newest action gacha title by HoYo has its setting in the near future, where you will once again have to gather various characters through the gacha mechanic and use them to fight the monsters known as Hollows.

The game is set to offer immersive, action-packed gameplay that will rival that of Honkai Impact 3rd and the recently released Wuthering Waves.

Zenless Zone Zero Official Release Date

Yes, you’ve heard it. 

The official release date for Zenless Zone Zero is July 4, 2024.

The official media channels for ZZZ announced earlier today that the game would finally welcome its release early in July, meaning that there are only about 6 weeks before we can finally dive into HoYo’s new title.

ZZZ is going to be taking a different approach than its predecessors, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, where it will focus heavily on its action-packed gameplay. HoYoverse last did this with their other game, Honkai Impact 3rd, and it’s a joy to see them take that route once again with Zenless Zone Zero.

Where Can You Play ZZZ?

Zenless Zone Zero will be available across various platforms, with the currently announced ones being:

• PC
• Mobile
• PS5

The game will be released simultaneously on all platforms, giving all players the ability to hop in on day one.

There is currently no information on whether the game will have cross-play enabled, but we do know that it has a co-op system where you can invite friends or other players to tackle bosses. We will likely receive more information about this in the future, but given how other HoYo titles work, we can safely assume that cross-play and cross-progression will be a thing. 

However, this should be taken with a grain of salt for the PS5 version of the game, as those versions are more often than not separated from their PC and mobile counterparts.

Nonetheless, Zenless Zone Zero will offer a new and exciting experience for fans of HoYoverse who have been waiting for a game with a heavier focus on combat and difficulty. The release date of July 4th will give players of the gacha genre just enough time to explore Wuthering Waves and free up some of their time for ZZZ if they choose to do so.
