W-Engines are a way to boost your Agents’ strength in Zenless Zone Zero. W-Engines work similar to weapons in any other game and in Zenless Zone Zero they give Agents stats and unique effects.

What are W-Engines
W-Engines are the weapons in Zenless Zone Zero. Similar to Bangboos they come in three rarities:
- B
- A
- S
With each rarity having better stats and effects than the last. W-Engines can be equipped on Agents to give them a boost in stats, as well as a unique effect.
Similar to other of HoYo’s games you can level W-Engines to increase the stats that they give and there are also Agent signature W-Engines that are catered towards a specific Agent.

How to Get W-Engines
You can obtain W-Engines by pulling in ZZZ’s gacha system. You can obtain W-Engines in any of the banners, however, if you wish to go for Agent Signature W-Engines you will have to pull on the designated W-Engine banner.
For the Limited W-Engine banner you will have a 75% chance of getting the Limited W-Engine, and if you fail in getting it the first time, then you’ll have a 100% of getting it the second time you get an S Signal.
This works in the same way as Honkai: Star Rail’s Light Cone banner, so for those of you who have played that game, this will feel quite familiar.
NOTE: This is information from the CBT3 of ZZZ and it is subject to change prior to the official release.
As of right now, it is unsure if there is another way to obtain W-Engines, however, similar to other HoYo games we can expect to see event-exclusive W-Engines making their way into the game at some point.
