Hanya is the newest 4-star Character in Honkai Star Rail. She is a Physical Type Character following the Path of Harmony. Hanya is a support type character, making her easy to build. Being a support she goes in a lot of teams, which we will explore in the guide.

Who is Hanya?
Hanya is a new support type character in Honkai Star Rail, following the Path of Harmony.
"One of the judges of the Ten-Lords Commission. Of the four duties of a judge (detention, imprisonment, punishment, and interrogation), Hanya is charged with the last task. She specializes in reading the karma and sins of criminals, and records their crimes and punishments with the Oracle Brush."
Currently players can obtain her by wishing on either Argenti’s Limited Character Banner, which runs from: 06/12/2023 12:00 - 26/12/2023 14:59 (server time)
Or by wishing on the Regular Banner and hoping for the best.

Hanya’s Abilities and Kit
As already mentioned Hanya is a Physical support type character, and her abilities and overall kit perfectly reflect that. She is amazing at giving Skill Points (SP) to the team, and is overall a great addition to Honkai Star Rail’s roster.

Hanya's Abilities are as follows:
ATK
Oracle Brush
- Deals Physical DMG equal to 50% (100%) of Hanya 's ATK to a single enemy.
SKILL
Samsara, Locked
- Deals Physical DMG equal to 120% (240%) of Hanya's ATK to a single enemy, then applies Burden to them. For every 2 Basic ATKs, Skills, or Ultimates allies use on an enemy with Burden, allies will immediately recover 1 Skill Point. Burden is only active on the latest target it is applied to, and will be dispelled automatically after the Skill Point recovery effect has been triggered 2 times.

Ten-Lords' Decree, All Shall Obey
- Increases the SPD of a target ally by 15% (20%) of Hanya's SPD and increases the same target ally's ATK by 36% (60%), lasting for 2 turn(s).
TECH
Netherworld Judgment (Technique)
- Immediately attacks the enemy. After entering battle, applies Burden equivalent to that applied by the Skill to a random enemy.
Talent
Sanction
- When an ally uses a Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate on an enemy inflicted with Burden, the DMG dealt increases by 15% (30%), lasting for 2 turn(s).

- Allies triggering Burden's Skill Point recovery effect have their ATK increased by 10% for 1 turn(s).

Netherworld (Major Trace 2)
- If the trigger count for the Burden's Skill Point recovery effect is 1 or lower when an enemy with Burden is defeated, then additionally recovers 1 Skill Point(s).
TrACE 3
Reanimated (Major Trace 3)
- When Burden's Skill Point recovery effect is triggered, this character regenerates 2 Energy.

Hanya's Eidolons
Hanya's Eidolons are as follows:
One Heart
- When an ally with Hanya's Ultimate's effect defeats an enemy, Hanya's action is Advanced Forward by 15%. This effect can only be triggered 1 time(s) per turn.
Two Views
- After using the Skill, this character's SPD increases by 20% for 1 turn(s).
Three Temptations
- Skill Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10.
Four Truths
- The Ultimate's duration is additionally extended for 1 turn(s).
Five Skandhas
- Ultimate Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Talent Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
Six Reverences
- Increase the DMG Boost effect of the Talent by an additional 10%.
Important Eidolons:
Hanya can do well without Eidolons, however, if you aiming for Eidolons, then getting to her E2 is a great stopping point.

Using any of these will have a positive impact on your team, however, the higher ranked Light Cones will bring out more of Hanya's strength:
Best Light Cone:
The Battle Isn't Over
- Increases the wearer's Energy Regeneration Rate by 10% (18%) and regenerates 1 Skill Point when the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally.
This effect can be triggered after every 2 uses of the wearer's Ultimate.
When the wearer uses their Skill, the next ally taking action (except the wearer) deals 30% (50%) more DMG for 1 turn(s).
Good 4 Star Light Cones:
Planetary Rendezvous
- Upon battle entry, if an ally deals the same DMG Type as the wearer, DMG dealt increases by 12% (24%).
- NOTE: This Light Cone is best used when there are other Physical Type Characters in your Team.
Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds
- At the start of the battle and whenever the wearer's turn begins, one of the following effects is applied randomly:
All allies' ATK increases by 10% (20%), all allies' CRIT DMG increases by 12% (24%), or all allies' Energy Regeneration Rate increases by 6% (12%).
The applied effect cannot be identical to the last effect applied, and will replace the previous effect. The applied effect will be removed when the wearer has been knocked down.
Effects of the similar type cannot be stacked. - NOTE: Battle Pass Light Cone
BUFF
Dance! Dance! Dance!
- When the wearer uses their Ultimate, all allies' actions are Advanced Forward by 16% (24%).
Best F2P Option:
Meshing Cogs
- After the wearer uses attacks or gets hit, additionally regenerates 4 (8) Energy.
This effect can only be triggered 1 time per turn.

Hanya’s Best Relics
When it comes to Relics and Planar Ornaments Hanya is a joy to build and won’t have you struggling at all. If you have build any of the previous supports, such as: Bronya, Pela, Tingyun, Asta, you will probably have a lot of pieces of her best in slot Relic Set, namely: Messenger Traversing Hackerspace.

Although there are various sets that Hanya can use, the best one, and the one that will make her stand out in your teams is the following:

2-Piece: Increases SPD by 6%.
- 4-Piece: When the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally, SPD for all allies increases by 12% for 1 turn(s). This effect cannot be stacked.
Planar Ornaments:
Similar to the Relic Set there is one Planar Ornament set that stands out from the others:
Fleet of the Ageless
- Increases the wearer's Max HP by 12%.
When the wearer's SPD reaches 120 or higher, all allies' ATK increases by 8%.
Though if you have been farming World 7 of the Simulated Universe, Broken Keel is another great alternative:

- Increases the wearer's Effect RES by 10%. When the wearer's Effect RES is at 30% or higher, all allies' CRIT DMG increases by 10%.

Hanya’s Best Teams:
Hanya excels at supplying Skill Points to your team, while also proving ATK% and SPEED buff to an ally. Furthermore, being a Physical Type Character, she has one of the best Break Effects in the game, and is definitely going to be needed in many teams. Some of them you can see below:

It doesn’t matter in which team you put her, Hanya will always do a great job in supporting your Main DPS character, as such it would be a shame not to build her.

Is Hanya Worth Pulling For?
Hanya is definitely one of the more useful 4-star Characters in Honkai Star Rail at the moment, and places quite high up on the Tier Lists. As such, having a copy or 7 of her won’t hurt your account at all. However, do remember that she is still a 4-star, meaning that at times she might be even harder to pull than a 5-star.
