Tier List Explanation
This Tier List will divide MultiVersus into 5 tiers, which are:
- D-Tier - Weak picks which should be avoided.
- C-Tier - Characters who are currently not in a good place.
- B-Tier - Characters who are either good in 1v1 or 2v1 but never both.
- A-Tier - Great picks which lack a little something.
- S-Tier - The best character choices.
Keep in mind that these are just suggestions and you should try the MultiVersus characters on your own!

D Tier MultiVersus Characters
Good in theory, bad in practice, Marvin should be avoided. He's just too week compared to all the other characters in Multiversus.
PROS:
- Okay range
CONS:
- Weak
- Slow
Despite the great combos and decent shield, Steven lacks a lot when he's on his own. He performs decently in a duo but his 1v1 is incredibly weak.

C Tier MultiVersus Characters
Reindog is a somewhat decent choice, but only in 2v2. When it comes to going solo into battle, he can be quite weak.
PROS:
- No cooldown on projectiles
- Great stage presence
CONS:
- Good only in 2v2
Gizmo is a great support and helpful in battle, especially thanks to his Neutral-Special and Down-Normal which cast Silence onto enemies, preventing them from using specific attacks.
PROS:
- Great support kit
CONS:
- Not good in 1v1
Velma is an absolute MENACE in 2v2, having great synergy with all characters. However, on her own, she will get stomped.
Although LeBron seems to be a decent MultiVersus character with okay damage and combos, he lacks when it comes to recovery.
During Beta testing, Taz was the strongest pick. However, after some nerfs and reworks he fell off.
She's a balanced character, who can be quite versatile. Garnet is a decent and solid choice overall, with amazing combos.
PROS:
- Can shut down projectiles
CONS:
- Dependent on her armor

B Tier MultiVersus Characters
With a huge hitbox and great versatility, Finn turns into a reliable character pick in MultiVersus. His downside, however, is the fact that he needs to be on the ground to perform well.
PROS:
- Great combos
- Can counter a lot of match-ups
CONS:
- Small hitbox
- Needs to be on the ground
Jason is one of the newest additions to MultiVersus and he's doing pretty well as a tank in the current meta.
Rick is obviously the better choice in the Rick and Morty duo. He has a lot of utility and decent recovery.
PROS:
- Versatile
CONS:
- Dependent on portals for recovery
Fans were very excited about Morty but it seems like this expectation didn't deliver in 1v1. Solo fighting is definitely his weak side, although he's a menace in 2v2. Knowing that he's bad on his own and amazing in a duo, we have to place Morty in the middle of the tier list.
PROS:
- OP in 2v2
- Huge hitboxes
CONS:
- Bad in 1v1
This big boy was in a weird place during the beta but he's finally balanced. You should keep in mind how slow he is, which might be an issue.

A Tier MultiVersus Characters
Thanks to his incredible speed, Batman is a hard opponent. Not only that, but he also offers some great damage. Keep in mind that, although classified as a Bruiser, he is one of the lightest characters in the game.
PROS:
- Screen control king
- Bat Bomb is OP
CONS:
- Very dependent on Batarang
It seems like people were very hyped for this character and it wasn't as powerful as they expected. Still a great choice, nevertheless.
Despite being strong in the DC Universe, Black Adam had a difficult start in MultiVersus. He used to be at the bottom of the tier list but he's doing way better now.
PROS:
- Long-lasting combos
- Great shield and recovery
CONS:
- Long cooldowns
- Slow
Superman is DC's strongest character and we shouldn't be surprised to see him in the A-Tier for MultiVersus either. He's insanely strong and very difficult to deal with.
Wonder Woman is a low-risk character, relying on armor. Her combos are amazing and she can't be stopped!
Even after some serious nerfs Jake continued to dominate MultiVersus. He punishes well, his combos are fun and he can absolutely destroy the enemy. Jake is definitely the star of 1v1, although slightly weaker after the recent update.
PROS:
- Insane damage
- Reliable
CONS:
- Not as good in 2v2 but still great
Bugs is a better choice for 2v2 battles but still a decent pick. When it comes to him, your performance will depend a lot on your skill.
PROS:
- One of the easiest infinities in MultiVersus
- Good screen control
CONS:
- Very light
- Difficult recovery

S Tier MultiVersus Characters
As expected, Harley is one of the stars of MultiVersus. She's a mix between insane combos and OP damage. Harley is definitely one of the bullies you should pick up in the game.
PROS:
- Pro Juggle
- Difficult to catch and pin down
CONS:
- Quite light
Quite predictable but very strong, with decent damage and good combos. After the recent update Shaggy stood out as one of the most balanced and versatile heroes in MultiVersus.
This fun character has some amazing damage and a versatile kit. Totally not a pick you should sleep on!
PROS:
- Charged attack
CONS:
- Easy to dodge attacks
Just like in Game of Thrones, Aria is a force to be reckoned with. Her combos are insane and she's an amazing damage choice. Her OP Touch of Death might have been removed but she keeps shining though in MultiVersus.
PROS:
- Great Speed
- Decent in both 1v1 and 2v2
CONS:
- Bad against projectiles
