Although The First Descendant is currently one of the most popular games out there, and we were more than ready to overlook the minor issues that the game faced when it was first launched, players are complaining more and more about the customization options available in the new release.
The First Descendant offers 14 playable characters and a decent amount of weapons, but there are some issues with unlocking and customizing them. A large portion of the players stated that the developers need to take notes from Warframe's customization mechanic and implement it in The First Descendant as soon as possible. Let's take a look at the most common complaints.

The First Descendant Customization Mechanic
The biggest problem that The First Descendant is currently facing is its customization mechanic. Fans criticized the game on multiple platforms by saying that it's not fair that you can't use the same dye more than once, even though you have purchased it.
In Warframe, you can paint the default skin and you have unlimited use of dye, please give us the same system because I'm tired of seeing blue Bunnies running everywhere. This is tedious.

In addition to people agreeing with the post, many stated that unlocking characters in The First Descendant is so grindy that everyone prefers to use only Bunny since she is the easiest to unlock. The rest of the characters, including the starting Descendants that you don't pick, are extremely difficult to unlock, and they require too much time and effort.

The First Descendant Customization System Player Reviews
Fans claim that all maps in The First Descendant are filled with blue Bunnies running around, and even though the game includes the option to recolor the same looks, they are exclusive to a handful of Premium skins. Many players agreed that Warframe has a better system, and it allows people to paint the default skins and use dye as many times as they see fit.
It's the best thing Warframe has done for customization. And it's absolutely ridiculous that none of the other big games do it.

Although the alpha and beta tests of The First Descendant had better customization options that weren't so grindy and expensive, the situation in the officially launched version is definitely not the same. Fans remain hopeful that this issue will be fixed when Season 1 finally drops. For more information about The First Descendant, you can check out this article.
