Wuthering Waves version 1.1 [Thaw of Eons] is just around the corner, and the official media channels for the game have started bombarding us with information about the new version.
Version 1.1 is set to release on June 28 (Friday) and will bring a lot of new content for players to sink their teeth into.
In this article, we’ll briefly touch on everything new, starting with the new story, new zones, new echoes, and more, so let’s get started!

Version 1.1 New Story
The main story of Wuthering Waves had a rough start, with a lot of the community not being happy with the translations of the story and generally with the flow of the worldbuilding itself.
Many were quick to critique the story of the game, and as of right now, there aren’t that many people invested in the story of the game.
Luckily, version 1.1 will bring a new part to the story and will further expand on Sentinel Jue and likely on the Rover’s purpose in this world.
This new story is marked as Chapter 1 Act 7, so for those of you who’ve yet to complete the main story, now is a good time to get started.

Version 1.1 New Map
Version 1.1 will introduce [Mt. Firmament] as a new zone for players to explore and get a ton of Astrites from. This zone is likely going to be heavily tied to the Chapter 1 Act 7 story, but you will probably be able to unlock it even without having completed the story up to that point.
The new map features a mountain area, which can also be seen from its name, and will be the home of a snowy terrain with a ton of new challenges and, more importantly, new echoes!

Version 1.1 New Echoes
The new version will bring a total of seven new Echoes that players can farm, with the most notable one being Sentinel Jue’s Echo. The names of the new Echoes are:
- Sentinel Jue
- Lumiscale Construct
- Clang Bang
- Dwarf Cassowary
- Lightcrusher
- Lava Larva
- Glacio Dreadmane
There is still no concrete information about the echoes’ costs or their effects, but we will keep you updated when new information about them appears.

Version 1.1 New Characters
A gacha game update wouldn’t be complete without new characters, would it? Luckily, WuWa 1.1 is introducing two new 5-star limited characters to the game’s roster.
These new characters are:
Both will make an appearance during their limited character banners, with Jinhsi appearing in Phase One and Changli appearing in Phase Two.
Alongside them, you can also look forward to their limited weapon banners, which will drastically boost the usefulness of Jinhsi and Changli. The weapons will run at the same time as the characters, so make sure you have enough Astrites saved up if you want to get both.

Version 1.1 New Events
Lastly, another big thing coming to the new version is a ton of new events.
The most major ones will be the expansion of the Depths of Illusive Realm event and some new exploration events tied to Mt. Firmament. You can find more about all of the events coming in version 1.1 right HERE.

All in all, Wuthering Waves 1.1 seems like it will be a decent time and money sink.
The new zone will likely be a lot of fun to explore, and having new echoes to farm as well as Astrites to get will get a lot of players hyped up.
