V Rising: How to Get Blood Merlot

It may be a little more expensive than the Blood Potion but later in V Rising, it is worth investing some money and time to make sure you get the best from your prisoners. There is no need to be wasteful.

How to Get Blood Merlot in V Rising

As stated above, you are going to have to journey to Silverlight Hills in V Rising before you can craft Blood Merlot. A blood-sucking wine-drinking boss, Baron du Bouchon the Sommelier, holds the recipe. You will find him at the Brighthaven Vineyards. He can be a powerful enemy to take care of, but if you can manage the Knights and Paladins in the area, you should be fine.

When you are in the Vineyards, you should be on the lookout for Sacred Grapes. You are going to need as many as you can to craft the Blood Merlot. When you have dealt with the Baron, return to your castle.

Now you have the Blood Merlot recipe, you can crack on with crafting it. You will need:

60x Sacred Grapes
1x Glass Bottle

You will also require a prisoner to tap. Head over to their cage and interact with them to bring up crafting options. The Blood Merlot will be available if you have completed the steps above. Now you have some bloody wine for later use and didn’t damage the victim as much as a simple Blood Potion. You will definitely need some Blood Merlot later in V Rising when it comes to crafting Onyx Tears for Ancestral Weapons.

It is worth commenting that Baron du Bouchon also drops the Blood Merlot Amulet which will increase Spell Power but reduce Blood Decay Rate. To make this, you will need some Blood Merlot, Dark Silver Ingots, Radium Alloy, and an Artisan Table.
